We have a dog and a cat that we rescued at the same time. While the shelter couldn’t tell us their exact age at the time we adopted them, we do know that they can’t be more than a couple years apart from each other. It’s been 9 years since we rescued them so they are both getting on in years.
Dottie, our Lab mix, hasn’t been able to take hour-long walks like she used to. And we have noticed that Rumble, our Calico, is hanging out in the garage a lot more these days when she usually likes to scale our fence and roam the neighborhood.
It seemed like age was just generally getting to both of them and we wanted to do something about it. We tried different treats and supplements but Rumble is a lot pickier than Dottie. However, we did finally find something that worked for both our pets.

The Product
Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is unlike any other supplement we have tried. First of all, it’s not a capsule or a chewable treat. Instead it is a liquid that you mix in with dog or cat food. The ingredient list is extremely simple and natural too – just salmon oil and tocopherols.
The first thing we noticed after giving our pets Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil was enhanced mobility. Slowly but surely we were noticing that Rumble wasn’t just loafing around the garage anymore. We didn’t see her as often anymore, but we were happy that she was out and being active again.
Dottie was more raring to go when it came to her daily walk too. After just a month and a half of giving her Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil, she is back to taking one-hour walks.
But one of the unexpected benefits of the 1,100mg of Omega-3 fatty acids in Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil was decreased shedding. Dottie’s shedding was intensifying a bit but we just chalked it up to healthy aging. But after Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil, we noticed a decrease in shedding too.
What we Like About Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil
We definitely really like that Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is made from natural ingredients and that all the nutrients in it are things we’ve heard of and know are beneficial to overall pet health.
It is also really nice that Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is super easy to give to our pets. It comes in a pump bottle and we just pump some into their dry food and mix it in a bit.
We buy the 32-ounce bottle and that is enough to last both Dottie and Rumble an entire month of feedings.
What we Don’t Like About Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil
Really, the only thing we could say that we don’t really like about Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is the price tag. It is a bit on the expensive side when compared to other pet supplements.
Serving Guidelines
For pets up to 12.5 pounds, add a half a pump to their food. For pets up to 25 pounds, add one whole pump. For pets up to 50 pounds, add 2 pumps. Pets up to 75 pounds should get 3 pumps. Big dogs up to 100 pounds should get 4 pumps and dogs over 100lbs get 6 pumps.

Final Thoughts
For us, we were really trying to find a supplement that would be good for both our pets. Buying separate supplements for cats and dogs was getting expensive. The mobility was our main concern so we are really happy Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil has improved the joints of both Dottie and Rumble.
While the price tag is a bit of a drawback, it is still cheaper than buying two different supplements for our pets. It has also been beneficial in ways we didn’t foresee (shedding and coat health) which was a nice bonus.
We have really seen nice improvements in our pets’ overall health with Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil so you should check it out for your pets!
